Back in 1973, it was Tony the Tiger, Daisy Mae, Peter Pan and Herbie the
Cow who joked with customers, led
them to the MG Roadster salad bar
and seated them in the Spanish
Hide-A-Way.

Over thirty years later, Hasslocher
is still packing in customers with much
the same menu that brought in the original crowds.

Last week, it was Braveheart, Poison Ivy, Ace Ventura and Cat Woman doing the serving.

The characters may have a little more attitude and the crowd may be a bit younger, but the Magic Time Machine is still as much fun today as it was more than 30 years ago when Jim and Veva Hasslocher opened the restaurant on Aug. 22, 1973.

So unique was the concept - a restaurant that focused on pure entertainment, not just food - that Hasslocher won the International Food Manufacturers Association's coveted Golden Plate Award, the highest award that a restaurateur can receive, the year after he opened the restaurant.

Customers are still sitting in the same Spanish Hide-A-Way, Jail Cell, Mine Shaft, and Orgy Pit they once sat in, and diners are still racing to the 1953 MG Roadster to get their soup and salad.

Customers at the Magic Time Machine consist of the "young and the young at heart". It's most popular with diners aged 18-34 and then "a real, real strong second is kids. It's big for celebrations, birthdays and it's huge for proms."
If you are looking for a great dining experience with lots of laughs- than the
Magic Time Machine is the place for you.  We look forward to your visit.
